Obtain Information on Common Formats

Information on the Common Formats, including technical specifications, data element definitions, and vendor specifications, will be maintained at The United States Health Information Knowledgebase (USHIK). USHIK is a health metadata registry funded and directed by AHRQ with management support in partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The USHIK metadata registry supports browsing, comparison, synchronization and harmonization of the Common Format data elements with standards development organizations (such as HL 7) and other health care organizations.
